Technology Supporting Innovation: a forum for ICT Professionals in the Higher Education sector to share practical experiences and solutions that support world-class academic endeavours

05 Jul-2016 - 08 Jul-2016

AARNet is proud to be a QUESTnet 2016 conference partner and will be providing a high speed connection to the venue and also hosting a range of talks and workshops during the conference, which is being held at the Gold Coast’s RACV Royal Pines Resort. The theme for this year’s conference is “Technology supporting Education”.

The program for QUESTnet2016 has been announced and keynote speakers include Massimo Lamanna of CERN talking about data services for science,  Lindsay Botten, Director of the National Computational Infrastructure (NCI) talking about opportunities and challenges for high performance computing for research and education,  Geoff Huston of the Asia Pacific Network Information Centre (APNIC) talking about the Internet in 2016, and Phillip Grasso of Google, among others.

Latest network infrastructure developments and solutions are the focus of a series of workshops and talks to be presented by AARNet staff and you will also be able to talk to us about these activities in the exhibition area. In addition, we suggest you stop by a neighbouring stand that will be home to a collection of eResearch capabilities that work together to support Australian research: AAF (Identity), AARNet (Network), ANDS (Making Data More Valuable), NeCTAR (Cloud and Virtual Labs) and RDS ( Data Services and Storage).

We look forward to seeing you at QUESTnet 2016!
