University of Newcastle chooses AARNet Panopto partnership for video content management and lecture capture platform

The University of Newcastle selected Panopto, a leading video platform for higher education, to support interactive teaching and learning campus-wide.

With Panopto, teaching staff will be able to manage, live stream, record, and share video in an easy-to-use integrated video platform. Panopto also integrates with the Blackboard learning management system used by the University. AARNet will provide local hosting of the platform on its ultra-high-speed network, along with technical support and other services.

The University of Newcastle joins a number of other universities and organisations in the region using the platform to improve the education experience for students, including Monash University, Charles Sturt University, Western Sydney University, University of South Australia, University of Waikato, the Tasmanian Department of Education, Mater Education, Carnegie Mellon University Australia and Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network.
