AARNet Internet

Dedicated optical fibre provided by AARNet or one of our partner networks directly to your institution or organisation. Connections to the AARNet network are scalable and typically 1, 10 or 100 gigabits per second. We help you choose the bandwidth that's right for you.

We are a retail service provider for the National Broadband Network (NBN) which means that regional and remote schools and organisations involved in research and education can also connect to AARNet via NBN optical fibre (Enterprise Ethernet), wireless or satellite networks.

Diverse Connections

As customers increasingly dependent on internet access to cloud services for their business operations and curriculum delivery. A secondary (diverse) connection to the AARNet network via a geographically separate path mitigates the risk of downtime. Connections to AARNet are delivered direct from our optical network or Network Access Point  (NAP) sites to a Network Termination Unit (NTU) which can operate at either 1 gigabit per second (Gbps) or multiples of 10 Gbps.This 'trunk' can then be used to deliver multiple services at any given time. You can connect as many, or as few, AARNet network services at each campus as you need. We work closely with you to determine the best bandwidth, performance and connection options for your needs.
