Zac originally started with AARNet as a Technical Support Specialist in our Service Desk team and transitioned to his current role when the opportunity came up a year or so ago. He has enjoyed being continuously challenged in his roles, as well as working with best-of-breed software and hardware to support AARNet customers.
Zac explains that his leaders have always respected his technical opinion on solutions and encouraged him to act as a subject matter expert for the technical systems he supports, which keeps him really engaged.
In Zac’s own words, he’s felt exceptionally lucky to have landed at AARNet, growing his career while being empowered to self-manage work around important personal ambitions, like training for a half marathon with his partner.
