Meet Suzana

Suzana is the leader of our team of system engineers, providing technical mentoring and frameworks for her team, so that they can provide the best user experience for AARNet customers.

Suzana started at AARNet as a Site Reliability Engineer in the Linux team and explains that moving into a company that uses more open-source technology compared to her previous roles was quite an adjustment. After gaining confidence in her first 12 months, Suzana began supporting her leader in team projects and technology strategy, and this provided her with exposure to leadership opportunities.

Suzana says becoming a people leader in the companies she worked at previously felt too out of her comfort zone. But at AARNet her leaders have really shown her that they believe in her abilities and see her potential, way beyond what she could ever imagine for herself.

It has been very special watching Suzana’s journey, and the great outcomes her team are driving with her technical mentorship.
