Kathleen Mackay is the Chief Information Officer at the University of Tasmania.

Kathleen is an accomplished executive leader and Chief Information Officer with over two decades of experience in technology delivery, digital transformation, and culture change.

Kathleen took up role of Chief Information Officer at the University of Tasmania in 2023. Prior to this, she held several executive roles including the Chief Digital Officer role at Revenue NSW, Executive Director of NSW Fines and Debt in NSW Government, and Head of Digital at Boral Ltd.

After graduating with a Master of Computing from the University of Aberdeen, Kathleen has enjoyed a career as a developer, a support engineer, an integrator, and a project manager before progressing into leadership positions.

Kathleen is on the Board of TasICT, the peak body representing the Tasmanian technology industry, and is a member of Chief Executive Women.
