With 17 years of experience working for National Research and Education Networks worldwide, and co-founder of the Eduroam service among his achievements, James has a appreciation of the needs of IT Services to deliver solutions to educators, researchers and administrators. He is a problem solver, tuned into technology trends and sector issues and keenly focused on adding value through delivering high-quality cost-efficient outcomes.
Garry has over 19 years of network engineering experience, including designing, implementing and supporting multi-vendor networks in the education, carrier, manufacturing and health sectors. He has expertise in programming, carrier and service provider product development, unified communications integrations and deployments, and network and application security audits. Garry’s qualifications include Cisco: CCIE#10040-routing switching, CCNP-routing switching, CCNP-security, Palo Alto ACE, ISC2 SSCP, and he is currently studying towards a Offensive Security Professional certification.
Gareth has a Bachelor of Science, Network Technology from Edith Cowan University and 10 years’ experience working as a network security engineer within the higher education sector. He has managed Cisco Catalyst, Nexus and ISR equipment and complex university network security environments, including Palo Alto, Cisco, Checkpoint, Juniper, Lucent, F5, InfoBlox IPAM, LTM/GTM, and Cirtix NetScaler; as well as remote access and site-to-site VPN deployments and large-scale wireless eduroam deployments using Freeradius, Radiator and Cisco ISE. He has GSEC - SANS GIAC Security Essentials, ACE - Palo Alto Accredited Configuration Engineer, and RHCSA-Redhat Certified System Administrator accreditations.
James has over 10 years of experience in network solution design, development and implementation across the enterprise, small and medium business and education sectors. He has worked on multiple large wired and wireless campus implementation projects, layer 2 and layer 3 design and migration projects, developed top-down identity and access management designs, and provided broad consulting services relating ICT strategic planning. He has Cisco and Juniper accreditation.
Paul has over 20 years of experience in the Education and ICT domains, providing engineering and design expertise across university enterprise network projects before joining a university enterprise architecture practice as a solution architect.
He has designed architected solutions for major network transformation projects, supporting and leading teams deploying MPLS VPN at scale, deploying IP telephony, AV/collaboration initiatives, migration to cloud, networking for new building constructions, and inter-organisational networking solutions to support teaching, training and research activities in partnership facilities serving universities and hospitals.
Paul is Cisco and TOGAF certified.
Yingchen has a Masters of Information Technology from the University of Technology, Sydney and over 8 years of experience in developing and operating network and security managed services for multiple commercial networks. Yingchen is CCIE level accredited with Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel, HP, IBM and Dell routing and switching expertise. He can manage multi-vendor firewalls (Palo Alto PCNSE7/ACE, Checkpoint CCSA, Juniper: JNCIA, Citrix: CCA-N security) and multi-vendor data centre switches and network load balancers. He has specialist skills in supporting multiple customer networks across multiple sectors.
