With 17 years of experience working for National Research and Eduation Networks worldwide, and co-founder of the Eduroam service among his achievements, James has a appreciation of the needs of IT Services to deliver solutions to educators, researchers and administrators. He is a problem solver, tuned into technology trends and sector issues and keenly focused on adding value through delivering high-quality cost-efficient outcomes.
Pati has more than 17 years of experience in technical leadership roles for key networking and security solution-based initiatives across the finance retail, utilities, government and education sectors. He brings experience with both business and IT perspectives to advisory, design and hands-on engineering engagements. In addition, Pati has vendor accreditation with Cisco, Juniper, Checkpoint, Trend Micro, as well as an understanding of standards based frameworks (TOGAF) and management principles (CISSP) for leveraging the latest solution design and delivery options.
Doug brings over two decades of experience in successfully managing the delivery of complex ICT network, data centre and IT systems projects for organisations, including Optus, AARNet and Victoria University. Doug has expanded his expertise to include enterprise business continuity planning. He holds ISO22301, ITILv3 and project management accreditations, and is able to combine his deep appreciation of technology, people and processes with delivering projects and solutions that incorporate industry best practice and sustainable outcomes for customers.
James has over 10 years of experience in network solution design, development and implementation across the enterprise, small and medium business and education sectors. He has worked on multiple large wired and wireless campus implementation projects, layer 2 and layer 3 design and migration projects, developed top-down identity and access management designs, and provided broad consulting services relating ICT strategic planning. He has Cisco and Juniper accreditation.
Yingchen has a Masters of Information Technology from the University of Technology, Sydney and over 8 years of experience in developing and operating network and security managed services for multiple commercial networks. Yingchen is CCIE level accredited with Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel, HP, IBM and Dell routing and switching expertise. He can manage multi-vendor firewalls (Palo Alto PCNSE7/ACE, Checkpoint CCSA, Juniper: JNCIA, Citrix: CCA-N security) and multi-vendor data centre switches and network load balancers. He has specialist skills in supporting multiple customer networks across multiple sectors.
Gareth has a Bachelor of Science, Network Technology from Edith Cowan University and 10 years’ experience working as a network security engineer within the higher education sector. He has managed Cisco Catalyst, Nexus and ISR equipment and complex university network security environments, including Palo Alto, Cisco, Checkpoint, Juniper, Lucent, F5, InfoBlox IPAM, LTM/GTM, and Cirtix NetScaler; as well as remote access and site-to-site VPN deployments and large-scale wireless eduroam deployments using Freeradius, Radiator and Cisco ISE. He has GSEC - SANS GIAC Security Essentials, ACE - Palo Alto Accredited Configuration Engineer, and RHCSA-Redhat Certified System Administrator accreditations.
