What is CloudStor?
-
CloudStor is a web service for easily and securely sending and receiving large files.
-
Users access CloudStor using their institutional account, through the Australian Access Federation (AAF).
-
Users whose institutions are not members of the AAF can also use the service through vouchers submitted by users who are members of the AAF.
-
View a list of AAF member institutions.
If you are an AARNet customer but not a member of the AAF, to set up access to CloudStor please contact Neil Witheridge.
How do I send a file using CloudStor?
-
Go to the CloudStor logon page
-
Logon using your institutional credentials through your institution’s Identity Provider, selected via the Australian Access Federation (AAF).
-
You can then send files; or manage sent files prior to expiry; or issue vouchers to receive files from those not from an AAF member institution.
-
Each recipient is emailed a link to download the temporarily stored copy of a file, or, for non-AAF members, a single-use voucher with which to send a file.
-
Files and unused vouchers are automatically deleted at expiry, set to a maximum of 20 calendar days *.
-
Authenticated users can resend emails, add recipients, download files, and delete files and unused vouchers prior to expiry.
-
Connection to CloudStor is secure (https). Note that CloudStor does not encrypt files.
-
Click on Help before or after logon for detailed instructions.
