UPDATE: Presentations from the conference are now available from the
VideoLinq Mediasite Catalogue.
Brett, Guido, Mahmoud and myself attended the TAFE Qld
VideoLinq Learning Technologies 2007
conference last week.
TAFE Queensland
have recently invested in
Tandberg
high definition endpoints across their 50 sites off the back of approximately 20,000 videoconferencing hours across 2006/2007 (roughly 1/2 teaching, 1/2 administrative, mostly using 512kbps).
The theme for the conference was Telepresence and I have to say that it
was certainly 'presence' in the sense that about 80% of the audience were tending to their
Facebook
profiles or their
Second Life
avatars during the sessions!
Congratulations go to Ian Fairhurst of
Saint Ignatius' College, Riverview
(NSW) who won the AARNet giveaway of a
Sagem Internet Radio
, being presented below by Mahmoud Abo Elwafa.
