The first of the AARNet RealTimeComms roadshows has just wrapped up and we've been delighted by the attendance, the interest of the delegates in the information being presented, and the feedback the RTC team have received in relation to the topics being presented.
Riverbluff Cave, Missouri – at nearly 1 million years old, it is one of the oldest caves in North America. This preserved, ice-age environment is so fragile that only a few highly trained scientists are allowed to enter. One of these scientists, Matt Forir, the cave’s lead paleontologist, will host a virtual tour in November to allow students a unique glimpse into prehistoric life.
Who knows if we will be seeing telepresence to the home (TPTTH?) anytime soon - hopefully if the bandwidth/fibre wars currently being fought are stimulated any by the entry of Deutsche Telekom into the broadband space.
Mark you calendar, the RealTimeComms Roadshow is coming your way ! AARNet is holding five 2-day Real Time Communication workshops. These workshops are free of charge for AARNet customers.
