Hi to all from the new AARNet website, and specifically the National Video Conferencing Service (NVCS).
This site, and this blog, will focus on the education and research sector's approach to video conferencing suport as well as defining the support resources available to support staff across all tiers.
Also, keep an eye out for news posts regarding the latest developments in the sector, with reviews on new and emerging technologies for all levels - from technical implementation details to the educational and research applications.
QUESTNet 2007 will be held in Cairns next week (9-13 July) with several speakers from AARNet presenting. You can visit the detailed program for information on times that sessions are being held.
- Brett Rosolen, Peter Johnson and I will be presenting on Wednesday afternoon in the Kuranda room, with Kewin Stoeckigt and Peter Johnson holding roundtable BoF sessions later that afternoon (MCU Review Group and Real Time Communications update).
- Greg Wickham will be presenting on the methods AARNet are serving the Academic and Research Community on Thursday.
- Further BoF sessions are being conducted by Brett and I on Web Streaming and Video Conferencing as well as another session on the ENUM national trial by Kewin on Thursday afternoon.
- Glen Turner will round off the AARNet presentations with a session on Friday detailing applications and network throughput.
